Delaying Cooking Start Time 4 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
Hi

I'm new here but love my slow cooker. Bought a new cookbook recently and it said you shouldn't put the ingredients in and set it to start cooking a few hours later because of bacteria. I leave for work about 7:15-7:20 am and don't get home till 6:30/7:00 pm. I got a cheap timer, which works fine, but now I'm thinking whether I should use it. Before I got it I tried leaving the slow cooker on low all day and came home to burnt food. Any thoughts?

Slow cooker manufacturers do not include delayed-start timers among their features.if you want to try food sitting on your countertop for hours before the cooker turns on, it's the ideal breeding ground for bacteria that could lead to illness. But this doesn't mean a slow cooker can't work for you. Slow Cooker allows you to cook up to four times faster than a conventional slow cooker which is available on 877myjuicer.com which will be very helpful for you.
